This is a unique opportunity for Delta SkyMiles members to receive a personalized video message from Hall of Famer, John Smoltz. Whether you want to send a message to a fan, or someone important to you as a pick-me-up, make it special with this personalized video message from the legendary baseball star.

John Smoltz is the only pitcher in baseball history with over 200 wins and more than 150 saves. He was the ultimate competitor and the classic big-game pitcher, figuring prominently in many of the Braves most important moments during their run of fourteen consecutive division titles. Smoltz had his best season in 1996, leading the league with 24 wins, adding four more in the post-season, winning the All-Star game and the National League Cy Young Award.

Smoltz possessed the most overpowering stuff of any of the Braves legendary starters, featuring a mid to high nineties fastball and a devastating hard slider. Early in his career he had an explosive splitter, but he went away from it as his arm troubles developed. The injuries cost him parts of three seasons and all of the 2000 season when he had Tommy John surgery. When he returned, the Braves moved him into the bullpen as the closer, where he took only three seasons to become the Braves all-time leader in saves. In 2002, his first year as a closer, he set a National League record with 55 saves, finishing third in the Cy Young voting. He followed that up with a 45 save season and a 1.12 ERA. After three full seasons in the bullpen, he moved back to the starting rotation where he was the staff ace for another three seasons.

An outstanding athlete, Smoltz played good defense, held runners well, bunted well and won a Silver Slugger Award. He was an eight-time All-Star and was inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame in 2010 as the team retired his number 29. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015.

Terms and Conditions:

The winning bidder will have two (2) weeks after the auction ends to request the content for their one (1) customized video message. The winning bidder will be able to request what the video's overall messaging can be, but the exact messaging in the final video will be at the discretion of John Smoltz, who holds the right to reject a specific request. Failure to provide the requested video content within four (4) weeks from the auction end date will result in loss of the experience. Bidder does not obtain any rights to John Smoltz's likeness or publicity rights and agrees not to sell, license, publish, or publicly distribute the video to professional media sources (however, sharing via personal social media accounts and personal email is permitted).

The video will be no more than two (2) minutes in length, based on the messaging content that is requested. The exact length and content of the video is at the discretion of John Smoltz. The winning bidder will be asked to answer post-auction questions which John Smoltz will use to create the custom video message. Any requests for a new recording of the video or a "makeup video" will not be permitted. The video will be sent in a downloadable link via e-mail and also sent via text message to the winning bidder within two (2) weeks of the personalized message request being received by the Delta representative. All representations as to the file type, compatibility, and source file are expressly disclaimed. Delta is not responsible for injury or damage to bidder, recipient, or any other person's computer or mobile devices related to or resulting from participating in auction or the package.

This package does not include meeting or any direct conversation with John Smoltz. The winning bidder is permitted to gift this experience, and the same terms will apply to the recipient.

Other than those specifically listed above, no additional items or services are included in this package. Subject to all rules, policies, terms and conditions found in the SkyMiles Experiences User Agreement. All bids for SkyMiles Experiences packages are final and no mileage refunds will be made.
